Awesome x Nottingham Trent University - As part of the Fashion Communication and Promotion BA (Hons) students’ final year project, Awesome Merchandise were amongst one of eight companies selected to create a brief for the students to choose from. Cunning.Design was tasked with branding the brief.
NTU X Awesome social media post - created to introduce the world to the collaboration.
The Awesome brief was titled “REZINE - rethinking the brief in an Awesome Way” and challenged NTU students to find a project that they were passionate about and make their own ZINE based on that project with items of printed merchandise that Awesome would be then printed by Awesome Merch.

The aesthetic of the brief is battered, dank, old in an attempt to capture the DIY vibe. The hero of the design was a series of collage images. These were made by cutting out bits of old comic books, adverts and magazines and scanning them.
The full brief digital brief - in the spirit of the DIY ethos of the brief it was also printed onto traditional zine stock.
